Satish K. Sharma is an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the San Diego State University. He earned his PhD. in electronics engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi. Sudhakar Rao is a Technical Fellow at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. He earned his PhD. in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Lotfollah Shafai is the Canada Research Chair in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Manitoba. He earned his PhD. in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto.

GREAT REFLECTOR ANTENNAS REFERENCE!!

Are you a practicing antenna engineer and researcher in the industry and academia? If you are, then this book is for you. Author/editor Satish K Sharma and editors Sudhakar Rao and Lotfollah Shafai, have done an outstanding job of managing and writing a book that presents in-depth theory and design aspects of reflector antennas.
Author/editor Sharma and editor Rao, begin with an introduction to reflector antennas, by discussing conventional parabolic symmetric reflector antenna configurations. Next, author Thomas Milligan presents numerical methods that are used for the analysis of reflector antennas, with a significant number of design examples. Then, authors Yahya Rahmat-Samii and Shenheng Xu, discuss classical reflector antenna geometries and its theory and design guidelines. In addition, authors Satish K. Sharma, Zahra A. Pour and Lotfollah Shafai, present reflector antennas with adaptive apertures, which is based on incorporation of the multiple radiating modes based feed sources and control of amplitude and phase values between the modes. Authors Karl Clausing and Michael Aliamus, also discusses how reflector shaping is used on the conventional reflector surfaces to achieve specific satellite coverage areas from the satellite payload reflector antennas, which are generally dual reflectors in symmetric and offset arrangements. Authors J.B.L. Rao and D.P.Patel, continue with a discussion of bifocal, bicollimated, and multifocal dual reflector antennas, with some design examples. Next, authors C. Babu Ravipati and Sudhakar K.
