Enjoyable series set on Vancouver Island

I really enjoy this series. First discovered it at a bookstore in Victoria some years back and have looked forward to more. Mr Evans hasn't written a new book in the series lately (or else it hasn't been published). I hope there's a new one soon. Very enjoyable mysteries that take place on Vancouver Island. I like the streetwise characters and especially the insight into parts of the First Nation beliefs and myths.
